Ratskeller12 in Rostock

We tried the delivery service for the first time today and are absolutely thrilled! The food arrived on time at the requested time and was of great quality!

Ordered duck legs today. This was really good. Unfortunately, the meal came almost 30 minutes later without any information. That costs a star.

We celebrated our wedding here. Everything was according to our ideas or was even exceeded. Food perfect as always. Great ambience and great staff. Our guests and we feel very comfortable.

During these times when the restaurants are not open, you can use the food delivery service from the Ratskeller12. The braised ox cheek was tender and delicious! Delivered to the minute. That wasn't the last order. ??

Dear Sirs and Madames, we were at your place for brunch on October 18th, 2020. It was very good as always. The staff was very nice and quick. Now comes the big BUT: the toilets are a horrible one. With the masses of people, there are generally too few toilets. Which is not bad, but then you should sit down a toilet lady there for the time being. Who cleans the toilets after every walk. You don't even want to touch the sink. The paper trays overflow. The toilet roll holders are partially empty. All the toilet paper is spread out on the floor. I don't even like to talk about the toilet bowl, hygiene is zero. As a guest you sit really comfortably, but the walk to the toilet in between makes you feel sick. The most important point is missing. A woman / man has to go there who always wipes everything and keeps it fresh.

Food was delicious. Staff also very nice and accommodating. You put in a lot of effort here. The only criticisms are the portion size for the price and the toilets. These need an urgent overhaul and have an unpleasant smell.

So the main room was very nice but in the farthest corner there are also tables where the ambience was a style break. Shaky tables and chairs and all alone. We waited 2 hours for our food (schnitzel, solyanka, french fries and noodles)! Food was also not tasty! Not recommended ?

There was a good selection for brunch on the weekend, there was something for everyone. Although very well attended, the empty containers were of course refilled immediately. Everything went smoothly, the service staff were very friendly and helpful. The only downer: the toilets couldn't withstand the rush of visitors in terms of order and cleanliness and could have used an intermediate cleaning.

A spontaneous visit from us in the Ratskeller. Nevertheless, we were offered a place, which in times of the current situation cannot be taken for granted. The ambience is excellent. The map is clear, but everyone should be able to find something here. The food was of good quality and tasted very good to us. We were also completely impressed by the service and we will definitely come back again.

It was great. A wonderful ambience, the buffet was great. Everything your heart desires was on offer. Very nice staff. I will recommend it to others.

Maybe the best food in Rostock, great drinks and of course a great atmosphere. That evening there was an “operator emergency”, which we complained about and for which the boss personally apologized to us. Adequate, very decent response. The Ratskeller will definitely get a 2nd chance!

The food was delicious, I had the Burgundy burger and was very satisfied. Unfortunately, there is one shortcoming, if you get the wrong service you can wait a long time for your drink or it will be completely forgotten. That was really a shame.

We recommend. Very good food at reasonable prices. 800 g pork knuckle for 24 euros, you can't complain about that. Very nice, pleasant ambience. We really had a blast for my wife's birthday with the Deutz champagne ? and delicious salmon, unfortunately we forgot to take a photo of the desserts ? because it tasted so good that you forget everything else ?

We were there for Sunday brunch with 20 birthday guests. We were allocated an extra room that was right next to the brunch. Perfect! Generously laid out so that our children had enough space to play. Kudos to the cook and the good service. And children pay only 1.50 euros for the brunch. We felt very comfortable. The next birthdays are already planned :)

So, beforehand the food was flawless and the quality of all of our guests was excellent. However, there are reasons for complaints which have come about due to long waiting times and inattentive staff. The handling of complaints was also not professional. You should work on it, but the quality of the food made up for the long waiting time and we would visit this restaurant again.

Quite spontaneously, yesterday for the first time in several years after the renovation in the Ratskeller. Service top. Location with a mixture of rustic and modern, starters varied, the rump steak really to the point medium rare. Conclusion: whether romantic for two or in a larger group, a little insider tip in the cellar!

TOP, 1A! VERY NICE SERVICE, A RESTAURANT MANAGER (RUI) KNOWS WHAT HIS VOCATION IS ... DELICIOUS FOOD, VERY GOOD WINE ... AND ALL SPONTANEOUSLY WITHOUT RESERVATION! ALWAYS HAPPY AGAIN .. VG :-)

Everything is just right here - starting with the really beautiful, tastefully furnished historical location, through friendly and competent service to the excellent food - you can just tell that the employees there can do something and enjoy their job. There is no better way to do it - respect! We will be back.. Thomas & Yvonne

A special kind of culture in the Ratskeller12 Last Friday (September 4th, 2020) we experienced a very special evening! On the one hand, culture again in the form of a play / drama and on the other hand enjoyment of a very delicious 3-course menu. Yes what should we say ... Just great!!! Two Rostock actresses performed a self-staged play, which, by the way, was very refreshing, in Ratskeller 12. We hope and very much wish that this concept will be continued. Culture with enjoyment, that goes very well together. Theater in these rooms and with such fantastic dishes ... Very tasty dishes that you won't find everywhere. The chefs obviously enjoy their work and know what they are doing. In addition, there is a nice atmosphere outside with a view of the market (at the same time, however, little pedestrian traffic right next to you). Great rustic atmosphere inside - I like the vaulted cellar. Only the toilet area is unfortunately a bit out of line and needs an overhaul. ?

This place is amazing! Apart from the authentic local food, you get a beautiful historical atmosphere. We stumbled inside on our 4 weeks cruise. Never had a better restaurant on our trip. Highly recommend!!!

The service was great, the waiter was very friendly!! The food was not what we expected though. We prefer a-la-carte german quality over the concept of "all you can eat". And sweet potato fries do not combine well with a too well cooked salmon filet in our view. I can imagine that if one likes the unlimited mini-dishes concept this can be great place, but we expected something else in a Ratskeller.
